MY TRICHY

 Trichy's historical names include Trichinopoly (used by the British) and its ancient capital, Uraiyur (or Woraiyur/Oraiyur), which was a significant Chola center known for trade and as the earliest name for the region. The current name, Tiruchirappalli, comes from "Thiru-Chira-Palli," possibly referring to the three peaks or a saint named Chira.
